Hugo Chang Coffey, b.2001, is a transdisciplinary artist working with /dis/connections and transformation. He incorporates the fragmented and embraces the hidden, as a response to the erasure of certain histories. His imagery often resemble hybrid landscapes, merging digital and physical realms. Inspired by mythology and speculative fiction, his work reflects bodily conditions in an increasingly synthetic and technocapitalist world.
Hugo Chang Coffey received his BFA from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2025. He has participated in residencies and exhibited across Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, and The Republic of Korea.
As an extension of his artistic practice, Chang Coffey also works as a curator and producer; organising events, talks and meeting points.
